Dimka Kostadinova Vasileva was born on 1987 in Yambol. She graduated from high school in 2006, speciality "Technologist-programmer of CNC systems" at PTG "Ivan Raynov" - Yambol. Graduated from Technical University of Varna, her bachelor's degree in "Mechanical Engineering and Technologies" in 2010. She graduated at Master degree in the same specialty - "Mechanical Engineering and Technologies" in 2012. In 2018 acquired educational and scientific degree PhD with scientific specialty 02.01.10 "Manufacturing Technologies", defending a PhD dissertation with topic "Planning of quality inspection". In May 2019, she began her academic career at the Technical University of Varna, in the Department of Manufacturing Technologies and Machine Tools. In the period 2019-2022, she held the academic position of "Assistant Professor" in the discipline "Machine Tools and Machine Systems", and from November 2022 until now she holds the academic position of "Associate Professor" in the scientific specialty "Cutting of materials and cutting tools". She participated in three projects under the Scientific Research Fund and in two projects co-financed by the European fund under the operational program "Development of human resources" and "Science and education for intelligent growth". She held specializations at several universities in Romania and Turkey. She is a member of FNTS TO NTS-Varna (Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions in Bulgaria, Territorial Organization of Scientific and Technical Unions - Varna), BIS (Bulgarian Institute for Standardization), NNTDD (National Scientific and Technical Society "Defectoscopy"), FNTS - CLUB 9000 Association and she an editorial board member of Industrial Engineering Journal. She is an author and co-author of more than 10 teaching programs in the fields of metal cutting and material processing machines, programming of CNC machines, cutting of materials, cutting tools, interchangeability and technical measurements. Under her leadership, more than 10 students have successfully defended their bachelor and master degree thesis. Currently, she is a consulting of one PhD student and the scientific supervisor of two PhD students. |
