Teodora Ivanova Peneva was born in Haskovo in 1992. She graduated from Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School "Academician Boyan Petkanchin" with a profile "Mathematics with English language" in 2012.
She completed her higher education at Technical University - Varna in the Department of Manufacturing Technologies and Machine Tools as follows:
- Bachelor's degree in 2015 after majoring in Computerized Manufacturing Technologies;
- Master's degree in 2017 after majoring in Computerized Manufacturing Technologies, with full honors.
- During the period of her studies Teodora Peneva received two awards from Technical University - Varna:
- Award for achievements in scientific and artistic-creative activity in 2014;
- Award for excellent academic results, in 2016.
From 2015 to 2021 she works as a product development engineer, and one of the main activities she is executing is: Design of products and non-standard instrument equipment. Developing documentation for products and tool equipment. She was also responsible for the standardization.
In 2022, she became a PhD student at the Department of Manufacturing Technologies and Machine Tools with dissertation topic "Increasing the quality of technological processes in mechanical engineering production".
She started her academic career at the Department of Manufacturing Technologies and Machine Tools at Technical University of Varna as an Assistant Professor on 20.11.2023. Teodora Peneva has participated in a specialization, teaching mobility for the purpose of teaching within the "Erasmus +" program in "Gheorghe Asachi" - Technical University of Iasi, Romania, in 2023. She is a member of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions in Bulgaria from 01.01.2024.
Besides her teaching and research activities, Teodora Peneva also performs administrative duties at the Technical University - Varna, responsible for the Bachelor students.
